What a LinkedIn Ads integration does

Three separate LinkedIn APIs, three jobs: leads in, outcomes out, numbers for the report.

Leads move from LinkedIn to your sales team fast, and CRM outcomes flow back so LinkedIn optimises on pipeline, not form fills.

A B2B campaign on LinkedIn usually ends in one of two places: a Lead Gen Form inside LinkedIn, or a form on your website. Either way the lead needs to reach a sales rep fast, with the campaign it came from attached. Then, weeks later, the CRM knows which leads turned into meetings and deals, and LinkedIn does not, so its optimisation keeps chasing form fills.

A LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms to CRM integration fixes the first half. A conversions integration fixes the second. A reporting pull puts spend next to pipeline in one view. Campaign management itself is part of our growth marketing work; organic posting to LinkedIn pages and profiles is what Cybe Social does. This page is about the data moving between LinkedIn and your systems.

Typical flows we build

Lead Gen Form responses into the CRM

Each new lead lands in your CRM with its campaign and form recorded as source.

A leadNotifications subscription pushes each new lead to a validated HTTPS webhook; we fetch the response from leadFormResponses, map the form answers to fields and write a lead in Desk or your CRM with the campaign and form recorded as its source. See LinkedIn's Lead Sync API.

Assignment and first contact

Leads routed by territory or product, with a WhatsApp message only if they consented.

The new lead is routed to a rep by territory or product line and a call task is created. If the form asked for WhatsApp consent, a first message can go out through our WhatsApp integration; without that consent, it does not.

CRM outcomes back as conversions

Qualified, meeting held and won events stream back through LinkedIn's Conversions API.

When a lead reaches qualified, meeting held or won in the CRM, the event is streamed to LinkedIn through the Conversions API, so Campaign Manager reports and optimises on pipeline rather than on form fills.

Spend and results in one dashboard

Daily spend and clicks joined to CRM stages, next to Google and Meta Ads.

Daily adAnalytics pulls (impressions, clicks, costInLocalCurrency, conversions) are joined to CRM stages in a marketing intelligence dashboard, next to Google Ads and Meta Ads. See LinkedIn reporting.

LinkedIn's rules and limits

Lead Sync is its own program

Lead access is a separate application, authorised by someone with the right ad account and page roles.

Access to the Advertising API does not include leads. Lead Sync API access is applied for separately, and the person who authorises it needs a qualifying ad account role and company page role. We help you apply under your company's developer app.

Validated webhooks only

Lead notifications go only to validated HTTPS webhooks, with a periodic pull as backup.

Read more about Validated webhooks only

Lead notifications go only to HTTPS URLs, and since 16 March 2026 only to webhooks LinkedIn has validated. A periodic leadFormResponses pull catches anything a notification missed.

Reporting delays and caps

Demographic data can lag up to a day and responses are capped, so we pull daily ranges.

Performance metrics are near real-time, but demographic breakdowns can lag 12 to 24 hours and are approximate. adAnalytics returns up to 20 requested metrics, has no pagination and caps responses at 15,000 elements, so we request daily ranges.

Versions retire

Every call names an API version, and we migrate before old ones are switched off.

Every call names a Linkedin-Version, and LinkedIn sunsets old versions on a schedule. We track the migrations page and move integrations to a supported version before the cut off.

What we need from you

Your ad account and company page, an admin who can authorise the app, CRM API access and agreed conversion stages. We are not a LinkedIn partner.

Read more about What we need from you

A Campaign Manager ad account and LinkedIn company page owned by your business; a person with an admin role on both who can authorise the app; the CRM we are writing to, with API access; and agreement on which CRM stages count as conversions. For conversions only, an advertiser can generate an access token directly in Campaign Manager without a developer app; that token does not expire, so it is stored in your secrets store and rotated if anyone leaves. All apps and tokens sit under your company's LinkedIn accounts, not ours.

We are not a LinkedIn Marketing Partner. We build against LinkedIn's public Marketing APIs with the access LinkedIn grants your company.

Questions

How fast does a LinkedIn lead reach our CRM?

With lead notifications set up, as soon as LinkedIn pushes the notification and we fetch the response. Without them, on the schedule of the catch up pull you choose.

Can you do this without a developer app?

For sending conversions, yes: Campaign Manager can generate a token for the Conversions API. Pulling Lead Gen Form responses needs a developer app with Lead Sync API access.

We use HubSpot or Salesforce. Is this still useful?

LinkedIn offers its own CRM connections for some CRMs. We build where those do not fit: Desk, a custom CRM, extra routing or WhatsApp follow-up, or a dashboard that joins several ad platforms.

Do you run the LinkedIn campaigns too?

We can, through growth marketing. The integration works the same whether we or your agency run the ads.
