Schedule social media posts with drafts that stay drafts

A Draft never publishes by itself; a Pending post always does, at its time.

Draft versus scheduled

Drafts are parked and reach no one. Pending posts publish automatically, and a time without a time zone is read as UTC.

Read more about Draft versus scheduled

In Cybe Social a Draft is parked. The publisher never picks it up, so it reaches no audience until someone schedules it or publishes it. A scheduled post is Pending: it is armed and will publish automatically at its time with no further confirmation.

That difference drives how teams use it. When you are not sure, create a Draft. When a time has been agreed, schedule it. Times are stored as exact instants, so a post meant for 9:00 in Chennai and one meant for 9:00 in London are different times. A time given without a time zone is read as UTC, so always say which zone you mean.

Request a time, approve in one click

  1. 01 Write a draft with a requested time

A writer drafts the post and requests a time; nothing publishes yet.

A writer who should not publish directly drafts the post and adds the time they want it to go out. The post is still a Draft and still publishes nothing.

  2. 02 A publisher reviews it

Someone with publishing rights checks each platform's text and media beside the request.

Someone with publishing rights sees the request next to the draft and reads the text and media set for each platform.

  3. 03 Approve

One click schedules it at the requested time and makes it Pending.

One click schedules it for exactly the requested time. The post becomes Pending.

Changing your mind

Stop a scheduled post

Pending or Failed posts can go back to Draft with their content kept.

Read more about Stop a scheduled post

Move it back to Draft. The content is kept and the scheduled time is discarded. This works on Pending and Failed posts; a post that is already publishing or published cannot be recalled.

Reschedule

Moving a grouped post moves the whole group and can arm its drafts.

Give it a new future time. If the post belongs to a group, the whole group moves, and any Draft in that group becomes armed for the new time. Check the group before you move it, because this can arm drafts nobody meant to schedule.

Publish now

Send a draft immediately instead of waiting for its slot.

Retry a failure

Fix a Failed post and reschedule it; expired connections are the usual cause.

A Failed post can be fixed and rescheduled. The usual cause is an expired account connection.

Why nothing goes out

The scheduler status view shows posts by state, the publisher's last run and which platforms it can reach right now.

Read more about Why nothing goes out

If posts stay Pending past their time, the scheduler status view shows post counts by state, when the publisher last ran, and which platforms it can currently publish to. A platform missing from that list leaves its posts Pending rather than failing them, which is easier to spot there than by waiting.

Questions

Can a draft ever publish by accident?

Not by itself. The one way a draft becomes armed without being scheduled directly is when another post in its group is rescheduled, which moves the whole group. Check the group before you reschedule, and we walk through this case in the demo.

Can I edit a published post from Cybe Social?

No. Once a copy is live, edit or delete it on the platform.

Does it handle time zones?

Yes. Each scheduled time is an exact instant with a time zone, so a team in Chennai can schedule for a London or Dubai audience without converting by hand. A time with no zone is read as UTC.
